The Spirit of Fear

Dear Friend,
How are you?  I’m well.

Are you worried about tomorrow?  In all honesty, I was.

Since the Holy Spirit baptism in 2016, I became hungry and thirsty for studying the Bible.  Then, when I took a class on the book of Revelation and read and watched many preachers’ teachings on it, I realized we are indeed living in the last days.  Of course, you would know there are a lot of prophecies in YouTube on what will happen in the near future.  And I know that some ministries started to teach the very practical trainings such as living off-grid, waste management and so on.  And I would understand that it would be perhaps based on the belief that the rapture would take place in the middle of the Great Tribulation or at the end of it.  As I used to believe so-called mid-Trib or post-Trib, I thought I would need those trainings somedays in the future.  But, whenever I just tried to watch one of those trainings, I became scared and felt so gloomy.  Then, one day, when I listened to Derek Prince’ teaching, I heard him say honestly that he did not know whether it would be pre, mid or post-Trib.  I respect his honesty.  And I found out the Scriptures say our Father would protect us, no matter what.

Yet, I also got to know there was a teaching on Rapture by Pastor John Fenn in The Church Without Walls International website.  Before I talked about it, I would like to share an episode related to him.  In 2020 when the US President election became a hot issue among many Christians in the USA and in the rest of the world, there were so many prophecies about the President Trump’s being re-elected.  At that time, Pastor John Fenn posted a video on the false prophecy.  As I am always on the conservative side, I prayed and believed that Trump would be re-elected.  But, when I was watching Pastor John Fenn’s talking about people’s stealing others’ words on the election and being false prophets, I became angry and didn’t even finish watching it.  But later,
among the myriads of the prophets, Pastor John Fenn and Pastor Rick Joyner were just a few who turned out to be right and what they said   came to pass.  And I got to hear that only one prophet said apology in public about hearing Him wrong.  It made me be reminded of Derek Prince’s saying that he never saw a prophet to apologize in public, after it turned out that the prophecy didn’t come to pass.  Then, I repented to the Lord of my attitude toward Pastor John Fenn earlier.  I realized that I only chose to hear what I wanted to hear, regardless of the true will of God, and I would be no different from the Israelites who persecuted Isaiah and Jeremiah, as they prophesized the doom to come to Israel.  So, after the incident, I give credit to both Pastor John Fenn and Pastor Rick Joyner, not only for hearing the Lord correctly, but for having a courage to say something that would not please many conservative Christians.  And I’ve been subscribing their weekly or monthly words, not only because they were accurate, but their teachings through their books and so on enlightened me.

So, going back to the Rapture, I found out Pastor John taught pre-Trib.  In all honesty, it gave me so much comfort and peace.  But I also kept the teachings of other preachers I respect in my mind, who had or have different views.  So, still being a bit confused with many voices, I was surprised to receive a text message from Sister Margaret Seaward from Singapore.  As she wanted me to call her, I did.  And she asked me whether I would be interested in attending her classes on Discipleship and the Last Days through Zoom meeting.  I was thankful to the Lord, as I felt that the Lord wants me to be trained and equipped by Sister Margaret whom I love and respect.  Though I just started to join her class in the middle, missing the previous sessions, her recent class on the Last Days also gave me both peace and encouragement to live holy and ready, to be caught up anytime, even tonight!  After listening to Sister Margaret and Pastor John, I think pre-Trib makes more sense to me.  Yet, it encourages me more to be conformed to the image of Christ and live ready every day.

Speaking of Pastor John’s teaching, I would like to share his latest teaching, “How the Spirit Disguises Itself” together with a short description on The Church Without Walls International website:
Are you protecting a wrong spirit by reasonings about Covid, politics, or religion?
The world is polarized about politics and vaccinations, and many have strong opinions and reasons they believe as they do. But some are actually protecting a spirit of fear by putting up all kinds of reasons that sound good, but only serve to protect the spirits of fear, confusion and strife who have found a home in their thinking and emotions. This series pinpoints traits allowing you to determine if that is you or someone you know, and how to escape and find the Lord’s peace once again.

I liked this teaching and it helped me spiritually discern things and be free from the spirit of fear.  And I would like to encourage you to listen to it, if you think you need it, too.

When it comes to the discussion on pre, mid, or post-Trib, I do not know whether my belief would turn out to be wrong later.  And my intention is not to clarify which is correct. But, at least, I felt that I had a check in my heart on something that I felt was uncomfortable.  If some teachings trigger the fear and/or the pride (to be a selected few remnants), I think we must ask the Lord for the discernment, as His Words would not trigger the fear, nor the pride.  Love casts out fear, and love is not puffed up.

Friend,
I might share more, related to this.  In the meantime, we, as the sheep, listen to our Shepherd.  As we know His voice, we are not deceived nor fear, I pray in Jesus’ name.

Have a bliss!
Yunee

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.  We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:17~19)
