![]() Dear Friend, How are you today? I’m well. I wrote in my previous blog, “Spiritual Warfare” that the Lord gave me the words repeatedly, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” from Jeremiah 29:11. And I was amazed whenever I unexpectedly and repeatedly heard or read the verse through many sermons and messages. It was confirmation that He was giving me comfort and hope. To my surprise, in 2020, He repeatedly gave me message from Exodus through many sermons and articles. “And Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.’” (Exodus 14:13-14) I thought He was speaking to me about the shift and the transition to a new season. One day, while watching and listening to the twenty minutes of Communal Reading of Scripture online, I read the whole chapter of Exodus 14 as part of the Scriptural reading of the day. While I was watching the illustration with the Scriptures, it came into my mind that there was Egyptian enemy’s threat right before Moses and the Israelites’ crossing the Red Sea, one of the famous miracles known to Christians and even to the world. Pharaoh and his army marched after the Israelites who camped by the sea. There was no way out for the children of Israel. Through this miracle of crossing the Red Sea, the Lord was praised in awe, His name was known even to the gentiles, and they were thrilled. I think many of us do not want hardship such as the thereat of the enemies. But I realized that God receives His deserved glory through the hardship. He is all-powerful and beyond our imagination. When we have hardship, He would make all things beautiful for His glory and for His name. David, the young shepherd, was known to the Israelites only after he fought against Goliath and killed him. The threat of the Philistines and their giant was a hardship. But He used it for His glory, and He raised David, who was after His heart, in the middle of the challenge and hardship. With regard to the coronavirus pandemic, I heard some preachers say this is the Judgement from the Lord, and the other preachers say this is from our enemy, the Devil. I do not know who is right, but I know that God has everything under control. And I believe He would be glorified through this. Dear friend, In your life and in my life, we had or even now have challenges and hardships. I believe that if we trust our Lord and know He is good, wise and almighty, we can hold peace. The LORD will fight for us. Are you ready for crossing the Sea with Him? Have a bliss! Yunee Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: Comments are closed.
