Dear Friend, How are you? Hope you had or are having a good day, today? When I took the class, “Hearing the Voice of God” in Singapore in 2016, Sister Margaret Seaward, the teacher shared her testimony that she had heard the Lord asking her how she would obey unseen God, if she didn’t obey her husband, after she was angry with her husband and got out of the house and drove somewhere. Then, a student in the class asked her whether she and Pastor Fred, her husband had ever listened to different answers from the Lord, when both of them prayed. And she said, “We never. But, if you and your husband prayed together and had different answers, I suggest wives should obey husbands, as it’s the will of God.” I liked her teaching, as she taught us to obey the Lord as He spoke in the Scripture. And she shared her own experience that He spoke to her when she didn’t obey His words. Around me, I’ve seen wives who wear pants in their home, including my mom. Some are aggressive, but others are manipulative. I learned from Derek Prince’s teaching that not only the aggressive control, but manipulation such as wives’ holding their love or sobbing until they get what they want from their husbands or finally let them give up their wills is the spirit of control, which is witchcraft. And I agree with that. But I also thought to myself what would make wives disobedient to husbands and what would make subordinates rebel against their bosses or authorities, if not all is under the influence of the spirit of control. And I think the lack of faith would make it hard for them to obey the Lord’s commandment. Even when surrendering to husbands seems to lead to financial loss or disadvantage in children’s education and so on, wives can obey husbands, if they trust God is in control and He will make everything beautiful at the end of the day. Not only in husband and wife relationship or boss and subordinate relationship, but in every aspect of our lives, obeying His commandments would require the faith that He is in control and He will make everything beautiful when we surrender ourselves to Him. Dear Friend, Can you trust the Lord, no matter how it seems right now? And do you believe that it is indeed impossible to please Him without faith (Hebrews 11:6)? Apostle Paul said in the book of Romans, “For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” We know Abraham was credited as “righteous” due to his faith. If you and I trust the Lord, we will be righteous. And we will have peace and joy, as we can rest, knowing He is on the Throne and everything is under His control. I pray His Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit rest upon you, in Jesus’ name! Have a bliss! Yunee By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
