Dear Friend, How are you? I’m very well. On December 5th, 2020, I woke up around 4:30am without alarm. After I read the book of Proverbs and prayed for a while, I thought I had a dream, but was not able to recall it at all. As usual, I asked the Lord to remind me of the dream and help me interpret it, if it was from Him. Graciously enough, it came into my memory. In the dream, a female teacher came to me to check out whether I prepared for a song or songs to sing. It seemed as though there would be a contest soon and the song or the songs must have a theme that was given earlier. But the theme was not revealed to me in the dream. I told her that I was not able to prepare for the contest, feeling under the weather, but I would start to prepare from then on. All of a sudden, while I was still with the teacher, the song Edelweiss came into my mind. Though the theme of songs for the contest was still concealed in the dream, I knew that was the song I would sing in the contest. So, I began to sing the song, Edelweiss, in front of her. As I was not able to memorize the whole lyric of the song, I hummed for the later part of the song. While I was singing and humming, I felt my singing sound so beautiful and I had confidence to sing that song in the contest. In another scene, I prepared for a test. Later, I went somewhere. I was not so sure whether it was my place or not, but I recall I poured out water into a water purifier pitcher that had a filter in it. When I recalled my singing Edelweiss in the dream and journaled it down, I was curious what the song would mean. So, I googled the lyric of the song: Edelweiss, Edelweiss Every morning you greet me Small and white clean and bright You look happy to meet me Blossom of snow, may you bloom and grow Bloom and grow forever Edelweiss, Edelweiss Bless my homeland forever I felt I would know what the Lord was trying to say through the dream, in relation to what I asked Him the previous night. Later in the day, I searched more on the flower, Edelweiss, bearing in mind the theme that was given but concealed in the dream. And I was reminded of the prophetess, Lana Vawser’s sharing her testimony that she searched and found out the meaning of Nike in Greek, after she dreamed of Nike shoes. So I felt I must search more on the flower, Edelweiss itself, in addition to the lyric of the song. And here were my findings from Wikipedia: The flower’s common name derives from the German word “Edelweiß”, which is a compound of edel “noble” and weiß “white”; It signified Noble Purity; it has been used as a symbol for Alpinism, for rugged beauty and purity associated with the Alps and Carpathians. According to folk tradition, giving this flower to a loved one is a promise of dedication; Only daring climbers manage to pick an edelweiss. It embodies values such as love, courage, loyalty and community; Before 1914, in the Swiss Army, the highest ranks (brigadier general and higher) have badges in the form of edelweiss flowers, while other military branch badges would have stars; The scientific name is a latinisation of the Greek leontopódion, “lion’s paw.” After I found out these, I thought of another scene of the dream where I poured out water into a water purifier pitcher. The contest in the dream would be to pick those who dare to pick up Edelweiss in the rocky mountains, who dare to be dedicated to the Lord, who dare to be set apart for Him, who dare to be in the front line of the battle as His warriors in the last days, those who are the pure in heart and shall see God. The previous night before the dream, I watched the late Prophet Neville Johnson’s teaching “Forerunner” on The Academy of Light website. I intentionally searched and picked it up, since I recently listened to Pastor Andy Tiplady’s teaching and his interpretation on “The Lamb and the 144,000” in Revelation 14:1~5. Both the late Pastor Neville Johnson and Pastor Andy Tiplady talked about the forerunners as the friends of the Bridegroom who were called to prepare for the Bride to be ready for the wedding in the last days. I’ve been feeling that my calling would be the forerunner and friend of the Bridegroom. Yet I didn’t ask the Lord whether it’s really His will. So, the other night, I asked Him about it. Thinking of the dream on the contest, the concealed theme of songs in the contest, the song and the symbol of Edelweiss, I felt the Lord speaking to me. He called me to be the forerunner and friend of the Bridegroom, but I must be purified to fulfill my destiny. I must be set apart for Him and my deed and words must be pure and clean. Amazingly, I also got to realize that a pastor in Singapore had sent a message the other night for Saturday worship service: Many are called, few are chosen, and fewer still are faithful. True leaders are those who will not melt in the fiery crucible. And he talked about purification, during his sermon on Joseph. I felt the Lord repeating the message on purity to fulfill my destiny. Dear Friend, Do you want to know your calling in the book the Lord has written for you? I encourage you to ask Him directly. I’m sure He would answer you. In the meantime, I think I would write more about the friends of the Bridegroom in later blogs. I believe you and I are called to prepare the Bride to be ready for the Lamb’s wedding in these last days. Have a bliss! Yunee Then I saw a Lamb standing on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, and with him were 144,000 who had his Name and his Father’s Name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roaring of a great waterfall or the rolling of mighty thunder. It was the singing of a choir accompanied by harps. This tremendous choir — 144,000 strong — sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four Living Beings and the twenty-four Elders; and no one could sing this song except those 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. For they are spiritually undefiled, pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the men on the earth as a consecrated offering to God and the Lamb. No falsehood can be charged against them; they are blameless. (Revelation 14:1~5 The Living Bible) Comments are closed.
